FAQ

How do I prep for my tan?

~ Hydrate your skin well about 3-5 days leading up to your appointment. This way your skin is prepped and ready.~ Schedule any other beauty appointments before your appointment. This includes, brow treatments, facials, etc.

~ Exfoliate and shave/wax your body 24 hours before your appointment, removing all dead skin cells will ensure your tan application is seamless.

~ Before your appointment, take a shower so that your skin is clean. Do not use any soaps, lotions or deodorants as this will lead to chemical build up and the tan not developing properly.

~ Loose full coverage clothing!! We recommend wearing a loose long sleeve tracksuit to your tan appointment and easy slip on shoes (avoid sneakers & strappy shoes).

~ WET WEATHER: Lucky for you we have underground parking at our location which means you can easily pop up through the lifts straight to our front door! If in any case you can't park underground be sure to bring a pair of fluffy socks to pop on with your slides, wear a hoodie and bring an umbrella!

Post-Tan Tips

~ Hydrate: Keep your skin moisturised post tan to maintain your glow and prevent premature fading.

~ Avoid showering for the recommended amount of time to allow your tan to thoroughly develop.

~ Loose clothing: Opt for loose, dark clothing to prevent smudging and allow the tan to set evenly.

~ Skip the gym: Avoid sweating or any activities that could cause excessive rubbing for the first day after your tan.

~ Pat dry: After showering, pat your skin dry gently rather than rubbing to preserve your tan.

~ Avoid exfoliation: Steer clear of exfoliating products or harsh scrubs that could strip away your tan prematurely.

~ Limit swimming: Chlorine and saltwater can accelerate tan fading, so limit your time in pools or the ocean.

How long before my event should I get a tan?

~ We recommend you booking your tan 2 days before your event. This allows the tan to fully develop and dry.

How long should I expect my tan to last?

~ The answer is up to you. If you look after your tan, and keep your skin nourished and moisturised, your tan can last up to 2 weeks.

Tips to making my tan last longer

~ Moisturiser. Moisturiser. MOISTURISER! Stay hydrated.

~ Avoid hot showers and baths. Hot water can strip away your tan, so opt for lukewarm water.

~ Pat your skin dry. After showering, pat your skin dry gently with a towel instead of rubbing to avoid rubbing off your tan.

~ Use tan extending lotions or mousses specifically designed to prolong your tan's lifespan.
